he Historical Bible Society exists to preserve, present, and reignite wonder for the Word of God through history, evidence, and storytelling.
Founded in 2004, HBS began as a touring Bible exhibit showcasing rare books, manuscripts, antiquities, art, and artifacts that trace the Bible’s journey across more than a thousand years. Traveling throughout the Northeast, these exhibits invited thousands to experience Scripture’s story — not as a distant relic, but as a living narrative shaping freedom, faith, and culture.
Guided by founder Daniel P. Buttafuoco, HBS has grown beyond preservation to become a movement connecting people to the story, culture, and impact of God’s Word.
Today, our work continues through interactive displays, educational programs, and apologetics initiatives designed for seekers, skeptics, and believers alike. From classrooms and churches to digital platforms and online communities, HBS serves as a hub of discovery for those curious about faith, history, and evidence.
Our mission is simple: to preserve the past, defend the truth, and inspire faith for the future. Because the Bible isn’t just a historical artifact — it’s the foundation of freedom, knowledge, and hope that continues to shape every generation.
Our efforts bridge ancient truth with modern seekers through:
Preserving Scripture and Christian art for generations to come.
Exhibitions and educational experiences that bring history to life.
Apologetic resources and conversations that equip believers and skeptics to explore the Bible’s historical reliability and relevance today.
HBS is more than a collection — it’s a movement for truth, mobilizing Christians to defend their faith with confidence. We exist to inspire curiosity, strengthen belief, and equip every generation to engage a questioning world with truth that endures.
We invite you to experience truth through history
